Picked up this bitchin' ride for $350. Burns and leaks oil like a fiend, but is otherwise solidish. Guy I bought it from replaced the alternator, plugs/wires/cap, thermostat and rebuilt the injectors. AC doesn't work, radio antenna is shot, and it desperately needs rear brake shoes, but he provided all the new parts. It has no back seat, is missing panels, only 2 windows go down, power locks are funky and most of the gauges don't work, but is really decent for the price.
My questions are 2-fold (I haven't done much reading on here, but will shortly):
1. What mechanical issues are common and should be inspected? I have it on jacks at the shop, so it's the perfect time to get everything in order.
2. Is there any suspension we can get that will just drop in and give quite a bit of lift? Will '91 Chevy pickup springs fit? We're looking for about 6 inches of lift.
